” Since completing my training through the Innovation Teaching School programme, I have undertaken the role of KS2 Teacher in a school specialising in supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties. The training and support that I received across my time on the course enabled me to not only transition into my new role effectively, but to continue to excel as an outstanding practitioner. My mentor (Janet), like many of the staff at The Ridgeway Community School, inspired and enriched my progression, equipping me with all of the knowledge and experience that I needed to not only begin a career in teaching, but to continue to progress long after my time at the school had come to an end. As such, I am now at the stage of finishing my Masters degree in Education (MA[Ed]) and am looking to continue further, whilst still applying the ideas and pedagogy acquired during my time on the course.
