School-to-School Support

Between September 2013 and April 2016, the Headteacher at The Ridgeway has undertaken an Executive Headteacher role at Gosden House.  During this time the staff at the Ridgeway have worked in collaboration with staff at Gosden House to take the school forward.  The attached Ofsted Inspection Letter demonstrates the impact of this support and the outstanding nature of provision at Gosden House School.

‘The Ridgeway were commissioned to provide support for Kennel Lane School following an Inadequate Judgement at inspection in 2013.  Following re-inspection in November 2015, Kennel Lane School moved to a Good Judgement from Ofsted, with two areas identified as Outstanding.’

Ridgeway Community School is the Lead School for Innovation Teaching School.  We can provide Outreach tailored to your requirements for example supporting a Teacher and/or TA in a mainstream class with a child who has Downs Syndrome or Autism. This could involve a single visit or meeting, follow up visits as required and / or requested.

Do you have practise you would like externally reviewed / moderated?  This is simple system of peer reflection.  A chance to request a visit to another school to view an area of development and/or to invite a visit to look at practise that your school may be developing.
